Additional Director General of Uttar Pradesh Police has defended Meerut SP's 'go to Pakistan' remark during December 20 protests against the new citizenship law. The ADG Prashant Kumar said that protesters were throwing stones and shouting pro-Pakistan slogans. He also said that the Superintendent of Police Akhilesh Singh's choice of words could have been better but situation was very volatile that day.
