A farmer was put behind bars for five days after he allegedly plucked lotus stems from a government park in Uttar Pradesh’s Hardio. The farmer Radhe Sham, whose agricultural land is next to the bird park, was allegedly held while stealing the lotus steams in 2007. His lawyers says that the farmer has been booked under laws imposed on for smuggling animal hides and products.
