The Delhi Government has laid down strict guidelines for the Delhi Metro which is set to resume services from September 7th. Stations will open in a graded manner and those in containment zones will remain shut. Token system has been removed and and smart cards will be compulsory for travel. Limited number of passengers will be allowed in each coach at a time. An optimum temperature will be maintained inside the coaches and air conditioning will also be revamped to ensure circulation of fresh air. At the station, thermal checks will be done and hand sanitizer will be provided. Social distancing and wearing masks throughout the travel will be mandatory. Passengers will also have to show their Aaogya Setu app during the security checks.
