The Covid-19 pandemic could majorly affect children as it weakens health systems and disrupts routine services. To tackle this crisis, UNICEF India is working to ensure children across the country get access to nutrition, sanitation facilities, education and other essential supplies. In a new campaign, the UN body took to Instagram to urge people to post pictures of their happy memories with the hashtag #childhoodchallenge. They even sought donations, asking people to donate the amount equivalent to the year they were born in. With the donations, they aim to provide children and their families in need with safety kits to combat Covid-19 including gloves, masks and soap.
