U.S. President Donald Trump has turned down India’s request to attend its 70th Republic Day celebrations in 2019, The Times of India reports. The decision was communicated by US authorities in a letter to National Security Advisor Ajit Doval. Trump’s State of the Union Address to the joint session of the US Congress, around the same time, could be one of the reasons for refusal.
