US President Donald Trump on Wednesday said, that Washington 'is very, very ready' for whatever the coronavirus threat brings, announcing his vice president Mike Pence, as the man in charge of overseeing the nation's response. Mike Pence will be working with the US government's top health authorities, and Trump's earlier-appointed coronavirus task force, to oversee the response. Sixty coronavirus cases have so far been reported in the US. The National Institute of Health's top infectious disease chief, however, cautioned a vaccine won't be ready for widespread public use for a year or more.
