US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has been subpoenaed by the chairmen of three House Committees for failing to turn over documents related to the Trump administration's dealings with Ukraine. With rapidly escalating impeachment proceedings against President Donald Trump, Pompeo has to produce the documents within a week. Trump is being probed for allegedly pressurising Ukraine's president to investigate Democratic opponent Joe Biden, allegation that Trump has denied. The US special envoy for Ukraine negotiations, Kurt Volker has also resigned.
