Trichy: 2-yr-old trapped in borewell for 4 days dies

Two-year-old boy who was stuck in a borewell for the past three days in Trichy district of Tamil Nadu has died. Officials said that found the decomposed body of the boy inside the borewell after 3-day effort to rescue the child. 2-tear-old Sujith Wilson was playing near the abandoned borewell on Friday evening, when he fell inside. The rescue efforts received a setback on Saturday when the tube well caved in during drilling and the boy fell further 75-feet deep. Political leaders cutting across the political spectrum at the national and state level, including PM Modi and Rahul Gandhi, had prayed for Sujith's rescue.
