Towering skeletons join dancers at Mexico City's Day of the Dead parade

Oct 29, 2018 16:02 IST

Giant skeletons danced through the streets of Mexico City as part of a colourful parade celebrating the Day of the Dead. Thousands of spectators watched as the parade made its way along a 4.8 kilometres route in the centre of the Mexican capital. This year's parade paid tribute to migrants who lost their lives - just as thousands of Central Americans make their way through southern Mexico in a caravan with the hope of starting anew in the United States.
