Tourist returns 'cursed' artefacts stolen from ancient city Pompeii

Oct 12, 2020 21:31 IST

A Canadian tourist has reportedly returned artefacts stolen from the ruins of the ancient city of Pompeii in Italy. In a package received by a local travel operator, the woman returned two mosaic tiles and several other fragments. The package was accompanied by a letter which details that the relics were stolen in 2005 and the woman returned them because the artefacts are cursed. According to reports citing the letter, she wrote, 'I stole a piece of history that had lots of negative energy inside...I just want to shake this curse off me and my family.'
