GUJARAT APPROVES CONSTRUCTION OF BUILDING WITH 70 FLOORS OR MORE
Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani has approved the construction of buildings of 70 floors or more in five major cities of the state namely Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat, Rajkot, and Gandhinagar.

MAHA PROPERTY REGISTRATIONS & REVENUE DROPS BY 60% DUE TO COVID-19 CURBS
Property registration officials told the media the drop in registrations alone for the first 45 days was about 65% as compared to march this year. Before the pandemic began, Maharashtra on average would register 2.3 lakh property documents per month, as told by an official.

PUNE CIVIC BODY URGES GOVT TO RELEASE STAMP DUTY REVENUE SHARE
The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has urged the Maharashtra government to release its part of stamp duty charges that amount to Rs 237 crore. According to the standing committee chairman, Hemant Rasane, the PMC is suffering from the loss of revenue due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Therefore, The state government should provide the funds which will be utilized to control the pandemic situation, added Radane.

BIRLA GROUP LINES UP RS 1,000 CR CAPEX FOR HOUSING PROJECTS IN FY22
Birla Group subsidiary Century Group is now turning its focus onto the real estate business and has lined up Rs 1,000 crore for capex in FY22 for ongoing and future projects that also includes the super-premium Worli project. The Worli project would be their biggest project, and they are intending to start it in December if it gets approval by then.
