Rajya Sabha proceedings were disrupted on Monday amid uproar by Opposition members over skyrocketing fuel prices in the country.
Leader of the Opposition Mallikarjuna Kharge gave a notice for suspension of business to discuss "huge and frequent increase in prices of petrol, diesel and LPG even when global prices are ruling low."
Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu did not allow the discussion and kept asking members to go back to their seats and not deprive members from the Question Hour. However, Opposition members kept shouting.

Dr Hotez, during a recent webinar, said that the two mRNA vaccines may not impact the world's low and middle income countries, but India&rsquo;s vaccines, made in collaboration with universities across the world such as BCM and the Oxford University, have &ldquo;rescued the world&rdquo; and its contributions must not be underestimated.

National award winning actor turned politician Mithun Chakraborty was formally inducted in to the BJP&nbsp;ahead of the Bengal assembly polls. Mithun is a big name in Bengal and in the words of the state BJP vice president Arjun Singh his joining the party &lsquo;will be good for both the party and the state&rsquo;. From a &lsquo;disco dancer&rsquo; to a &lsquo;grand master&rsquo; and now a BJP member - Mithun da as he is fondly called in Bengal has mostly remained in the limelight.
Mithun kick-started his acting career with Mrinal Sen's Mrigayaa in 1976 and won the National award for Best Actor but it was the 1982 film Disco Dancer that popularised him as one of the best 'dancing-heroes' in Bollywood, with the youth trying to imitate his moves. In a career spanning four decades Mithun has acted in over 350 films across mediums including in some hit masala Bengali flicks. Recently, he has starred in hit films like Housefull 2, OMG - Oh My God. His appearance on a dance show on TV as judge has earned him a huge fan following in recent years.
However, history could have been different. It is widely reported that he was a Naxalite before entering films, but returned to his family and left the fold after he lost his brother in a tragic accident.

'Toolkit' case: Delhi Police gets 1-day custody of Disha Ravi for interrogation 

The Delhi Police has got one day custody of Disha Ravi in the 'toolkit' case for interrogation and confrontation with the co-accused. 
A court in Delhi had sent the 22-year-old environmental activist Disha Ravi to three days' judicial custody on Friday in the 'toolkit' case. Disha Ravi was arrested earlier this month from her residence in Bengaluru by the Delhi Police, in connection with the 'toolkit' case. Her co-accused Shantana Muluk and Nikita Jacob, on the other hand, are currently out on anticipatory bail.
The Delhi Police Cyber Cell had arrested Disha Ravi from Bengaluru claiming that she had sent the toolkit to teen climate activist Greta Thunberg through the Telegram app, and also "coaxed her to act on it".
Officials claimed that Disha Ravi was an editor of the "toolkit Google doc" and "key conspirator" in its formulation and dissemination.
