The Indian Women's hockey team has entered the semifinals of the Tokyo 2020 Olympics after a stunning 1-0 win over 3-time Champions Australia. The stunning 1-0 win came after Gurjit Kaur scored the lone goal for India through a penalty corner.

The team defended well and kept Australia at bay as the team survived 1-0 to register a stunning win.

This is the first time in Olympic history that an Indian women's hockey team has entered the semifinals. They will now play 2-time Olympic Medalists Argentina in the semifinals on Wednesday.
