TMC minister threatens voters: No votes, no water and electricity

Mar 07, 2021 11:31 IST | By Editorji News Desk

West Bengal Agriculture Minister Tapan Dasgupta was seen threatening voters of consequences if he didn't get votes in the upcoming Bengal Assembly election.
At a pubic meeting in Hooghly, Tapan Dasgupta, a TMC candidate from Saptagram assembly, told the voters that the areas which will not vote for him, "will not get electricity and water".
Tapan Dasgupta became the MLA of Saptagram in Hooghly in 2011 by defeating his rival of the Left Front. In 2016 Bengal polls too, he had won the Saptagram seat. Dasgupta has now been given the same seat to contest in the 2021 West Bengal election.
