10 people were reportedly injured in clashes that broke out between the student wings of the TMC and the BJP on Friday. The incident occurred in Ramsaday college in West Bengal's Howrah district. The institute's Union room was ransacked, and its office was forced to shut down midday. The police had to intervene to restore order, and personnel of the Rapid Action Force too were deployed in front of the college. Both the ABVP, and the Trinamool Chhatra Parishad have blamed each other for the violence.
