Actor Chitrangda Singh is busy promoting her forthcoming film &lsquo;Gaslight&rsquo;, co-starring Sara Ali Khan and Vikrant Massey. During a promotional event, the actor was asked about why she takes long breaks between films and is also facing the risk of stereotyping.
Speaking with India Today, Chitrangda said that she often &lsquo;doesn&rsquo;t get the work&rsquo; she wants to do. She said she is offered the same thing&hellip; like a seductress.
&lsquo;Also, a lot depends on quality&hellip; the people you want to work with. So it&rsquo;s a bit of both,&rsquo; the actor told India Today.
Chitrangda further said that the couple of breaks she has taken in between haven&rsquo;t helped at all. However, when she looks back, she is thankful that people have remembered her work.
&lsquo;Even the younger lot, when they come and say they have watched Hazaaron&hellip; So I think good work does last. I feel fortunate,&rsquo; she said.
When asked if she had managed to shed her labels, the actor said that she didn&rsquo;t understand why it happened in the first place.
&lsquo;In my first film, I was wearing cotton sarees with no makeup. My hair was in a bun. I hope to have done it (break out) but I really don&rsquo;t know,&rsquo; Chitrangda said.
&lsquo;Gaslight&rsquo;, directed by Pavan Kripalani, will stream on Disney Plus Hotstar from March 31.

She wrote, 'All this is fake propaganda by film mafia, I have sold Emergency to @zeestudiofficial and Thalaivii recovered all it cost before its release, it has been two years since its release.'
According to Times of India, Zee Studios had paid an advance amount of Rs 6 crore, which has not been returned by the makers. The company has been demanding a refund through emails and phone calls over the last two years. Now, with no other course of action, Zee Studios is considering taking things to court.
&lsquo;Thalaivii&rsquo; followed the life of Jayalalithaa from being an actor to turning into one of Tamil Nadu&rsquo;s strong political figures. The film was made on a lavish budget, but according to Bollywood Hungama, it didn&rsquo;t collect more than Rs 1.46 crore at the domestic box office.

His attorney Lance Lazzaro told TMZ that the rapper was inside of the sauna when a group of men walked in and attacked him. The attorney added that Tekashi tried to fight off the assailants, but there were too many of them. They later fled the scene.
At the time of the attack, Tekashi didn&rsquo;t have any security with him. According to the TMZ report, gym staff heard the commotion and immediately notified a manager. Police and emergency medical services arrived at the gym and transported Tekashi to the hospital.
Tekashi&lsquo;s attorney plans on contacting law enforcement to get the rapper more protection.

Actor Sara Ali Khan, who is busy promoting her upcoming film &lsquo;Gaslight&rsquo;, addressed the failures of her last few releases in a recent interview with news agency PTI. She said failures of past films made her reassess her choices as an artist and she is now focused on taking up scripts that will bring her &lsquo;creative satisfaction&rsquo;.
Referring to her 2020 movie &lsquo;Coolie No 1&rsquo;, which she had signed due to its credentials as a mass entertainer, she said, &lsquo;I thought this film would be a huge massy entertainer with great songs, colours, and fun. (But) it wasn&rsquo;t received well. Maybe because it was released on OTT and we were in the middle of the pandemic.&rsquo;
&lsquo;And that&rsquo;s when I realised, was my motivation for doing the film 100 percent pure? And it is the only time when my inner voice said, &lsquo;No&rsquo;. So, I don&rsquo;t want to do that,&rsquo; she added. Sara further said that her upcoming films, which include suspense-thriller &lsquo;Gaslight&rsquo;, &lsquo;Ae Watan Mere Watan&rsquo;, Anurag Basu&rsquo;s &lsquo;Metro&hellip;In Dino&rsquo;, and two untitled projects with Homi Adajania and Laxman Utekar, represent her changed thought process.
&lsquo;I am doing such different work. I&rsquo;m proud to say that all the work that I am doing right now, I feel 100 per cent convinced. And I don&rsquo;t want to do work for any other reason ever again,&rsquo; she said.
Sara further said she wants to be &lsquo;surrounded&rsquo; by people who can contribute to her growth as an artist.
&lsquo;I want to be surrounded by people I can learn from, I want to grow every day. I want to explore more and more. I feel I can learn as I have just started and there is such a long way to go,&rsquo; PTI quoted Sara Ali Khan as saying.

The Oshiwara police registered a first information report (FIR) under Indian Penal Code sections 380, 454, and 457 for theft and trespassing for housebreaking and an investigation is underway.

Mumbai Police booked a former driver of singer Sonu Nigam&rsquo;s father for allegedly stealing Rs 72 lakh from his residence. Agamkumar Nigam lives at Windsor Grand building in Oshiwara, Andheri west. According to a News18 report, an official said that the alleged theft took place between March 19 and March 20.
A complaint was filed by Sonu&rsquo;s younger sister Nikita at the Oshiwara police station in the early hours of Wednesday. As per the complaint, Agamkumar had a driver named Rehan for nearly 8 months but he removed him recently as his performance was not satisfactory.
Citing the complaint, the official said, on March 19, Agamkumar visited Nikita&rsquo;s home in the Versova area for lunch. After returning home in the evening, he called his daughter to inform her that Rs 40 lakh was missing from a digital locker kept in a wooden cupboard. The following day, Agamkumar went to his son&rsquo;s home at 7 Bungalows for some visa-related work when he returned home he found another Rs 32 lakh missing from the locker, which was not damaged. On checking the CCTV footage of the society, Agamkumar and Nikita found his former driver Rehan going towards his flat with a bag on both days when he was away.
According to the complaint, Agamkumar suspects Rehan entered his flat with the help of a duplicate key.

Sharad Kelkar says voicing Lord Ram in ‘Adipurush’ has been the ‘most challenging’ role for him

Actor Sharad Kelkar, who will dub for Prabhas' character Lord Ram in the upcoming film 'Adipurush', has said that this is the &lsquo;most challenging&rsquo; role for him so far.
Speaking with news agency PTI, the actor said, &lsquo;Voice acting is a responsible job because you are lending your voice to someone else who has performed with all his heart out. Your one mistake can ruin his performance.&rsquo;
&lsquo;So, I am responsible (for lending my voice) whether it is for Lord Ram or for Nani&rsquo;s character. Lord Ram is the most challenging one. It is a matter of pride for me also to give voice for <a href="https://www.editorji.com/entertainment-news/bollywood/adipurush-om-raut-defends-saif-ali-khan-s-ravana-look-shown-how-demons-look-in-today-s-time-1665221552021">Adipurush</a>,&rsquo; Kelkar added.
Kelkar further said there have been times when he felt pigeonholed due to his baritone.
&lsquo;As an actor, it is a disadvantage for me because it is difficult for people to imagine me in different roles. They tend to offer me similar kinds of roles because I have a certain personality and voice, which they think can go well with a particular range of characters, like a cop or a villain. I try to do different kinds of stuff. I am trying to prove again and again that I have a good voice but my strength is my acting. It (voice) is an added advantage and I don&rsquo;t take credit for that voice as such,&rsquo; he said.
&lsquo;Adipurush&rsquo; has been directed by Om Raut of &lsquo;Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior&rsquo; fame. It is set to release in June.
Sharad Kelkar&rsquo;s latest release is heist-drama &lsquo;Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga&rsquo;, co-starring Yami Gautam and Sunny Kaushal, which will start streaming on OTT giant Netflix from Friday.

Actor Arjun Rampal has for the first time opened up about the failure of &lsquo;Dhaakad&rsquo; which was a big-budget film. Arjun believes that since the movie was released post-pandemic, people were scared to go to the theatres.
&lsquo;It was an expensive film, so yes it does hurt when it doesn&rsquo;t do well. I don&rsquo;t think it deserved to do the kind of numbers that it did. People were sceptical at that point in time. Dhaakad was one of the first few films to come out post-pandemic. People were maybe scared to go to the theatres,&rsquo; said in his latest interview.
&lsquo;We can&rsquo;t even say that, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 did really well. Maybe we released with the wrong film. Every film has it&rsquo;s destiny, and you just have to accept it and move on. The reality is the reality. But the film is there, I am proud of it, it is not a film I won&rsquo;t be proud of. As long as you take that much away from a film, you are in a good space,&rsquo; he added.
The actor also talked about the pressure big-budget films face to perform well. He said that he likes to watch content-driven films. He said, &lsquo;that&rsquo;s my choice. I am very glad Pathaan has done so brilliantly, we all needed it, the industry needed those numbers. You cannot say box office numbers are not important.&rsquo;
