At the Bharat Mata temple in Varanasi, Mother India is worshipped. A map of the undivided Indian subcontinent made of marble on the floor, welcomes you at the entrance. While it highlights mountains, rivers and seas, it does not showcase any man-made boundaries. The temple was built in 1936 and was inaugurated by Mahatma Gandhi. The unique temple allows visitors to make their own discretion of India.
