This police station first in Delhi to get a sanitary napkin vending machine

Mar 09, 2021 13:57 IST | By Editorji News Desk

New Delhi's RK Puram Police Station becomes the first police station in the national capital to get a sanitary pad vending machine on the occasion of International Women's Day, celebrated on the 8th of March.

The inaugural event for the vending machine was organised by the NGO Sangini Saheli.

The vending machine, which dispenses sanitary napkins at ₹5 each, is a huge step towards empowerment of women at the work place.

It will help make the police station more conducive for women officers.
