This city just got India’s first pop-up cycle lane!

Oct 12, 2020 11:46 IST

The Covid-19 pandemic has given rise to a new found love for cycling and in some good news for cycling enthusiasts, Bengaluru just got India's first pop-up cycle lane! Connecting Silk Board junction and Lowry Memorial College near K.R. Puram on Outer Ring Road (ORR), the bright orange pop-up lanes are finally taking shape! The entire stretch will be 17 km long, as was announced in June this year, and will be completed by the end of the year. Authorities now aim to discuss ways to make cycling in cities more accessible for women in Karnataka.
