A 113-hectare property project in Dubai is called the Sustainable City. The carefully planned development features 500 villas and 89 apartments, each of them generating between 25-30 kilowatts of energy per hour thanks to solar panels. Apart from homes, the city has an equestrian track, bike track and a running track - all made from recycled rubber tires lined with 10,000 tall trees that help purify the air. And of course, no cars are allowed. The city is complete with ample shopping spots, schools, health care centers, public pools and eateries offering everything from quick bites to fine dining.
