The palace that sits on the shore of Porbandar

Dec 08, 2019 10:05 IST

The Huzoor Palace, situated in the town of Porbandar in Gujarat, was built by the last ruler of the state in the early 20th century. The grand, neoclassical structure sits right on the shore of the Marine Drive facing the Arabian sea. More than its Anglican pillars or European-style gardens, it is the palace's location that makes it a mesmerising sight. The palace is owned by the successors of the Maharaja's family who live in London and is not open to public but visitors can head to the location to see its sprawling beauty from outside the gates.
