Amidst all the studies on climate change and its adverse effects, NASA recently shared a piece of good news. According to them, the Earth is greener today than it was 20 years ago. What led to this change? Interestingly, India and China have been given all the credit. With the help of ambitious tree-planting programs and use of advanced technology in agriculture, both the countries have been responsible for the largest greening of the planet in the past two decades. These findings by NASA have been published in the journal Nature Sustainability. Researchers compared satellite data from the mid-1990s to today using high-resolution imagery to reach to this conclusion.
