Indian shuttler B Sai Praneeth has pulled out of the ongoing Toyota Thailand Open Super 1000 tournament after he tested positive for Covid-19, said the Badminton World Federation on Tuesday. Praneeth who is currently in the hospital for further observation and testing will remain there for the next 10 days, BWF informed. His roommate, Kidami Srikanth who was also participating in the event was also forced to pull out of the tournament. Srikanth's withdrawal comes as per the protocols laid down by the BWF. However, he has tested negative for the virus and is currently self-quarantining.
