'Tenet' rakes in $53 million in opening weekend

Christopher Nolan's Tenet has earned an estimated $53 million on its opening weekend. Nolan's mind-bending time-shifting espionage thriller was released in 41 countries, except the US in the past week .

Speaking about Tenet's opening weekend collection, Toby Emmerich, chairman of Warner Bros. Pictures Group said given the circumstances, it was difficult to forecast the performance but the result has exceeded their expectations.
