While the Men in Blue are away playing the World Cup in England, politicians back home are busy raking up a controversy over the team's second jersey because it is orange in colour. The Congress has accused the govt of saffronisation and politicisation of sports and the BJP and Shiv Sena has countered by asking why the party was so scared of one colour. India will be sporting a orange coloured jersey in the match vs England on Sunday because their regular blue clashes with the jersey of hosts England. The ICC rules for this World Cup require visiting teams to wear a different coloured jersey in case theirs clashes with the team whose home base they are travelling to for the match. The ICC in a statement has said that they gave the colour options to BCCI and the Indian board chose the combination that worked best for them.
