Tata Tigor EV launched in India; Prices start at Rs. 11.99 lakh

Tata Motors has launched the new Tigor EV with prices starting at Rs. 11.99 lakh for the base XE variant, going up to Rs. 12.99 lakh for the range-topping XZ+ (O) variant. All prices are ex-showroom. The new Tata Tigor EV has adopted the brand's ZipTron powertrain technology shared with the Nexon EV and is currently the most affordable electric car on sale for private buyers. The electric sedan is powered by a 26 kWh lithium-ion battery with a new Permanent Magnet Synchronous electric motor that develops 74 bhp and 170 Nm of peak torque. The Tigor EV is quick and can sprint from 0-60 kmph in just 5.7 seconds. As far as charging is concerned, the EV can be charged up to 80 per cent in less than 60 minutes using a fast charger, while a home charger will take 8.5 hours Tata claims an ARAI certified range of 306 km on the Tigor EV and it also comes with an 8-year or 1.6 lakh km battery and motor warranty.
