Tata Motors to hike prices across range from August

Tata Motors is all set to increase prices across its passenger vehicle line-up from next week, after announcing a price hike earlier this month. Through this price increment, the company aims to offset the steep rise in procurement costs of essential materials like steel and precious metals. The price hike is expected to be around 3 per cent on the ex-showroom cost of the vehicle. The increment though will vary depending on each model and variant in Tata’s line-up. This will be the third price hike by the Indian carmaker this year. The automaker had previously increased prices in May 2021 by up to 1.8 per cent. Prices of cars were also hiked in January by up to ₹ 26,000.
