In a bid to provide accommodation to those at the frontline of the coronavirus pandemic, Taj Hotels group properties , owned by the Tata group in Mumbai is offering its rooms for them free of cost. Doctors and other medical staff working at the municipal-run hospitals can avail these facilities. The rooms are available at a few of their hotels, including Taj Mahal Palace, Taj Lands End, and Taj Santacruz. The aim is to avoid doctors from making home visits and give them a place to rest close by without worrying about long commutes or meals. Ginger Hotels in Noida and Madgaon in Goa will also provide their rooms to medical professionals in those cities.
