Tamil Nadu extends lockdown, eases Covid curbs

Tamil Nadu government on Sunday released fresh standard operating procedure for the month of September. While extending the lockdown in the state till September 30 with several relaxations, the AIADMK government in a statement said said that the Sunday lockdown and e-pass system has been scrapped. It also added that places of worship will be opened to the public soon, and metro will be made functional from September 7. The statement also added that public transportation will also start within districts.
