In a heart-warming gesture, actress Tapsee Pannu has sent an iPhone to a Karnataka student whose father had sought help to get a smartphone to assist in the education of his daughter.
Soon after NDTV ran the story of the girl, who scored an impressive 94 per cent in her pre-university college exams, the 'Thappad' actress was one of the first ones to get in touch.
NDTV&nbsp;quoted Taapsee&rsquo;s tweet saying 'We need more girls to study. We need every child to study. We need more doctors. This is my small effort in making sure our country has a better tomorrow, dispatching a phone right away'.

The Andheri Metropolitan Magistrate&rsquo;s court had issued summons to Ranaut on February 1, directing her to appear before it on March 1. The court has posted the matter for further hearing on March 22.&nbsp;Kangana's lawyer has said they want to challenge the summons in a higher court.
