Switzerland's smallest museum is in a window

Aug 13, 2020 13:28 IST

A small window in Basel houses Switzerland's smallest museum and most of the items on display could fit in a pocket. Also dubbed as the Pants Pocket Museum, the two-foot-by-two-foot window in the door of a 600-year-old house was turned into a museum in 1995 by the homeowners who didn't want people to look inside their house. Now the homeowners put up collective displays of everyday items, changing them every few months, free for anyone to see. What's more, anyone with a collection of 30 or more items can exhibit them at the mini museum.
