After Twitter temporarily restricted the account of dairy giant Amul, the social media platform is abuzz as many linked it to a recent ad by the company which supported the boycott of Chinese goods. The ad shows the iconic Amul girl, standing up to a Chinese dragon, with the words 'Exit the Dragon'. Many users on twitter showed their support for the ad. Amid the standoff between India and China at the Ladakh border which has been going on for a month now, many groups and individuals, have echoed the sentiment of boycotting Chinese goods. Regarding the controversy, Amul said they had asked the social media platform why the action had been taken, but had received no response from them.
