On the occassion of World Stroke Day, commemorated on the 29th of October, a special ambulance was flagged off in Hyderabad. The vehicle, called stroke care on wheels, is equipped with the ability to provide thrombolysis to dissolve clots in case of a stroke. The ambulances have been provided by Yashoda Hospital and seek to reduce the time taken to transport stroke patients. An emergency helpline number can be dialled to call for the ambulance.
