Two pieces of an armour dating back to the 16th century, have been returned to the Louvre in Paris, 40 years after they were stolen!
The gold and silver encrusted body armour and helmet were made in Milan. They were on display in the Louvre museum in Paris on the night of May 31, 1983, when they were stolen. The two pieces will now go on display in the Louvre again, once it reopens.
The Louvre closed its doors to the public in October last year, owing to Covid-19 restrictions.
