Indian equity markets opened higher for the third consecutive session on Thursday following global peers. At 9:40 am, the Sensex was over 600 points in green at 29,144. Nifty 50 was trading close to 8,500, rising 2.12%. IndusInd Bank, UPL, Axis Bank, Infosys and Tech Mahindra were the top five Nifty movers. While, IOC, JSW Steel, Maruti, ONGC and Hindalco were the top losers. The rupee was also trading 54 paise higher at 75.56 against US dollar.
