83-year-old Stan Swamy who has been arrested for his alleged involvement in the Bhima-Koregaon case has filed a fresh application in Pune's special court on Thursday. He has sought permission for winter clothes, straw, and sipper in jail. Swamy who has Parkinson's disease had filed an application in early November, requesting the court to direct the NIA to return his straw and sipper which were confiscated at the time of his arrest. The application was rejected by the court after NIA said that the agency did not take his belongings. He was taken to the judicial custody straight, so he has to request the judicial authorities, NIA added. Upon Swamy's fresh application, the court has now asked the jail authorities to respond and has adjourned the matter till December 4. The Tribal rights activist was arrested on October 8 from his residence in Ranchi.
