Music streaming service Spotify is finally ready to show lyrics to various songs in real time. The live lyrics feature will offer real-time lyrics in the language in which the songs are sung and will reportedly be rolling out in India and 25 other countries at 7.30pm on June 30. This is made possible by a new agreement with lyrics provider Musixmatch, which claims to have the largest catalogue of song lyrics with translations. Spotify users can use this feature by tapping the “Lyrics” at the bottom of the “Now Playing” screen in Spotify apps. At this moment, it isn’t clear what Indian languages will be supported by Spotify lyrics at launch.
