Two Indian startups, Bellatrix Aerospace and Skyroot Aerospace, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to transport small satellites into orbits using a vehicle that will work like a taxi in space. Bellatrix will use its Orbital Transfer (OTV) Vehicle being created by Skyroot, reports suggest. OTVs are spacecrafts that help take satellites to their operational orbits, thereby acting like space taxis. The first such mission is likely to be ready by 2023. Missions like these, according to the CEO of Bellatrix Aerospace, will help reduce the cost of access to space.
