Days after a stormy CWC meet over the 'dissent' letter by its 23 leaders, the Congress on Thursday made changes to its team in Parliament. Senior leader Jairam Ramesh has been appointed as the party's chief whip in Rajya Sabha. Party chief Sonia Gandhi has also formed 2 committees to deal with the issues that may come up in both Houses of Parliament. The Rajya Sabha panel will have senior leaders and Gandhi loyalists Ahmed Patel and KC Venugopal. It's been seen as a step to keep Ghulam Nabi Azad, who is the Leader of party in the upper house and one of the signatories to the letter. Tow others - Shashi Tharoor and Manish Tewari - have been ignored in the rejig. They both too signed the letter.
