Sona Mohapatra recreates SRK's 'Zaalima', fights for gender equality

Apr 28, 2020 20:21 IST

Singer Sona Mohapatra, who is known for speaking her heart out, has now raised questions about gender equality in the music industry. The singer released a recreated version of 'Zaalima' from Shah Rukh Khan’s 'Raees' that shows Arijit Singh as Raavan while Sona depicts a goddess, seated on a lotus flower. Sona dropped the song with a tagline 'Women Love to romance too' & wrote that she made a solo version of the song with some interesting gender-political messaging about the state of the music industry.
