Online retailer Snapdeal has launched a new programme to fight counterfeit products being sold on its platform. Called 'Brand Shield', the new scheme allows brands to report any goods violating their intellectual property rights through a centralized process. A separate team has been created to handle all reports and any seller found guilty of copying logos, design features, packaging or using fake imagery will be delisted within one business day.
