To help the World Health Organisation tackle the Covid-19 pandemic, social media platform snapchat has launched a new Augumented Reality-based donation lens. Through snapchat, users across 33 countries can scan 23 international currency notes and this will provide a visual display of how donations are being used by the WHO, gain an insight into research and more. In addition to that, users can donate directly to WHO's COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund. Media publishers, on Snapchat's discover page who cover Covid-19 news, will have a swipe-up-to-donate feature. In March, Snapchat added mental health tools to help those with coronavirus anxiety.
