Our smartphone typing speed is catching up with the speed of typing on a keyboard. A new study conducted by researchers from the Cambridge University and Aalto University in Finland reveals that typing on a phone is just 25 percent slower than that on a traditional keyboard. 37,000 volunteers from 160 countries participated in a speed and accuracy test on their mobiles. Those who used the 'two-thumb' technique were able to type 38 words per minute as opposed to 29 words per minute using a single finger. Smartphone users will soon become quicker, says the study.
