Skoda Auto India has announced a price increase across its entire range of products effective from January 1, 2021. As a result, all Skoda cars will become more expensive by up to 2.5 per cent. The price hike affects the Skoda Rapid, Octavia RS, Superb facelift as well as the all-new Karoq SUV in the company’s line-up. The carmaker attributed the price hike to rising input costs which were affected by several global economic factors. Skoda's current product portfolio is priced between Rs. 7.99 lakh for the Rapid, going up to Rs. 35.99 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom India. The brand though has an eventful new year planned with the Kodiaq TSI petrol, Vision-IN based compact SUV, new-generation Octavia and the Rapid successor planned.
