A group of people, who claim to be residents of Singhu border area in Delhi, staged a protest on Thursday, demanding that farmers vacate the area where they have been protesting for over 60 days.
Protests broke out at Singhu border as locals took out a march. With the tricolour in their hands, angry villagers raised slogans ‘Singhu border khali karo'
The protest by villagers comes days after farmers, armed with sticks and clubs, stormed New Delhi on Republic Day as part of their tractor parade to press their demand for the repeal of the Centre's farm laws.
Delhi border points, including Singhu, is under heavy police deployment in the aftermath of the violence.
