There is a silver lining on India's Covid cloud. The number of recoveries crossed the 50 lakh-mark on Sunday. The country’s recovery rate has surged to 82%. On the other hand, the fatality rate has remained low to around 1.6%, which is nearly half of the global average of 3.1%. The number of active patients has been below one million for several days. The active caseload is 15.96% of the total positive cases. India has recorded more recoveries than new cases for whole of last week.
