Former JNU student Sharjeel Imam has been sent to 5 days in police custody. Sedition cases were filed against Sharjeel in 5 states after he delivered a controversial speech at an anti-CAA protest. The former JNU student who was arrested from Bihar's Jehananbad on Tuesday for making inflammatory speeches, however, claimed that he had surrendered before the police. In a tweet, Sharjeel has said, he's ready and willing to cooperate with the investigation and has full faith in due process of law. He added that his safety and security are now in the hands of Delhi Police.
