Samsung has announced the Galaxy XCover 5, a smartphone built to last in tough environments. The device has IP68 certification for water and dust resistance, and Samsung claims it can withstand drops of up to 1.5 metres. The XCover 5 comes with increased touch sensitivity to enable usage with gloves, and features a replaceable battery. The phone also has a push-to-talk feature, which lets it function as a walkie-talkie. On the specs front, the Galaxy XCover 5 is powered by an Exynos 850 processor, coupled with up to 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The 5.3-inch HD+ TFT display is backed by a 3,000mAh replaceable battery as well. There is a single 16MP camera at the back along with a 5MP selfie camera. The phone will be available in select regions starting March 2021, but there are no plans for an India release yet.
