A second person has died in China from a new virus that has infected dozens of people and has put many countries on alert. The second death has also been reported from Wuhan, which is where the pneumonia-like outbreak originated. Chinese scientists have identified the illness as a new strain of coronavirus, which is in the same family as the deadly severe acute respiratory syndrome or SARS and Middle East respiratory syndrome or MERS. Meanwhile, US health officials have announced that they will begin screening airline passengers arriving from central China for the new virus. Officials estimate roughly 5,000 passengers will go through the process in the next couple of weeks at New York City's JFK International Airport, Los Angeles International Airport and San Francisco International Airport.
