A popular weight-loss drug&nbsp;Belviq, manufactured by a Japanese company Eisai Inc., has been voluntarily pulled off the shelves after the US Food and Drug Administration pointed out its risk in elevating cancer. While Eisai Inc disagreed with US FDA's analysis, they did undertake a voluntary recall. In a study, FDA found that 7.7% of people who took Belviq were diagnosed with cancer either of the lung or pancreas. The FDA, however, clarified that there was no need to get screened for cancer for whoever took belviq as the risk was for those with extended use of the drug. The drug is often used by people with a Body Mass Index of 30 and above.&nbsp;
